For those with their fingers on the pulse Magliamo is a name you will by now be very well aquatinted with. First catching many an eye when Mr Weller himself donned the brand Magliamo have gone from strength to strength developing and progressing their retro cycling inspired range. The range now spans both gear you can wear when out on the bike and clobber you can chuck on to meander on down to the boozer in. The kind folks over at Magliamo sent us over a cycling T-shirt inspired by the Salvarani team and here's what we had to say on the piece...
Since Magliamo began to produce these T-shirts inspired by the greats of the sport they have covered a diverse range of riders and colour palettes which can only be a good thing. This T-shirt is a a tribute to the late, great Felice Gimondi the second cyclist after Jacques Anquetil to win all three Grand Tours of road cycling. This T-shirt comes in a vibrant sky blue with rich red ringer detailing which really catches the eye when worn on its own. Felice dons the centre of the tee with his hands aloft, the roundel image behind comes in the red, white and blue of Italy finished off with a final ring of baby pink which echoes those Acid Jazz roundels of the early 1990's. The fit is slim with a nod to how proper cycling gear sits and this flatters the wearer creating a slim, sleek look.
As always with Magliamo, the quality is superb and the T-shirt holds it shape no matter how many washes it gets. Magliamo have refined their designs this time around with a small logo on the back of the neck which comes in the same red they have used for the ringer detailing. This is a nice touch to finish off the T-shirt and is a subtle detail which the sussed will definitely notice. Overall Magliamo have once again struck gold with their rich knowledge of the cycling archive and have brought more unsung heroes forward in the form of some really eye-catcing T-shirts. An even bigger bonus is the fact this one if currently in the sale! Grab yours here!
