Idle Talk: Between The Lines / Bruce Foxton new album

We get sent a lot of great music over at Move On Up so it's a pleasure to review another up and coming bands single. This is the self released debut single from Brighton based modernist band Idle Talk, "Between The Lines".

Between The Lines:

These lads create a lovely sound, one that's a real pleasure to listen to! Opening with a real tight 60's inspired guitar riff, Between The Lines draws you in immediately! "Say goodbye to your weekend, Cause we're breaking out today." The type of line that gives you the impression that these lads mean business and are determined to make something of themselves. The drums and bass follow the guitar in perfect harmony and drive the tune forward. With clear influences from the greats, Idle Talk take those influences and shake them up into their own 2015 Modernist sound.
Being a three piece band, you would expect them to have a weaker sound, but like The Jam proved less doesn't necessarily mean quieter and Idle Talk are loud and clear when putting their sound across. "Cause we're all so tired of the fake" with the X-Factor starting again this is a lyric that is very prominent for the now! Sob stories and bad clothing galore will be the type of things gracing our TV screens very shortly. So it is essential that you support people like Idle Talk who possess real talent! Idle Talk have created a superb platform to build on from here, their sound is constant and fresh. The lyrics are cutting and edgy and they have the potential to turn a lot of heads! I hope the chaps break out onto the scene in 2015 and show everyone what they're really about. I can't wait to hear more, keep up the good work lads!

It was a pleasure to bump into Bruce again last Monday at the premiere of the new Jam film "About The Young Idea" in London. We got talking and Bruce mentioned that himself and Russell are very pleased to be releasing their second album together in October of this year! Their first album "Back In The Room" was a great piece of work and had some quality songs on it! So if you want to get your mitts on this new record from the lads then pledge away! Find the link below, I for one can't wait to hear this!
